Its seems like Google is going crazy over everything, trying to jump in and be the master of everything. This time it is in the form of a TV platform named Google TV. Google in association with hardware Giants Intel and Sony are currently working on an Android based TV platform. The platform will be based on a set top box and even actual TV sets (GTV).

Intel X25-V 40GB Solid State Drive out for $125
Ever wondered why despite having a good processor and more than sufficient RAM on your system the boot time on your Desktop is not fast enough. Blame it on the hard drive! The standard 7200rpm HDD doesn't read the boot data fast enough. Now you can decrease your boot time up-to 1/4 of the original by just spending around $125.
Intel has started shipping its Solid State Drive (SSD) the X25-V 40GB for $125.
No doubt the cost of SSDs is more than HDDs and thats what limited its use to performance sensitive laptops, servers and gaming machines in the past. Although the cost of SSD is almost $3 more per GB than a standard HDD but the performance benefits are just amazing and worth the price. It comes with a 3 year warranty. The best part is it has a standard SATA interface so you can use it in your exiting PC.

Now Software can make Amature photos look professional.
Photography is an art, it requires a lot of training and experience to acquire the skill. No matter how ever high end camera you use, unless you know the right way and have the skills you cant get that perfect professional looking photograph. But now algorithms and number crunching can make your photograph look PRO.
The new software has been developed by Professors Daniel Cohen-Or and Lior Wolf at the University of Tel-Aviv , Israel with the help of colleagues at the Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. At first an algorithms gives a score to a photograph based on aesthetics using simple composition rules widely used to teach budding photographers. The image is then automatically cropped, or parts of it moved and resized, to boost its score.
The software analysis the key features of an image such as color shape of objects etc. The position of those elements are used to judge a photograph. The software then tweaks it to make the photograph look aesthetic and more pleasing to the eye.

USB Electronic Key Impressioner
We have been seeing an increase in devices using USB lately, but now what Steve Randall and his friend Ted Schwarzkopf recently reveled may just turn out to be a boon for Locksmiths or thieves!?
The Electronic key Impressioner or EKI.
It is a prototype device which electronically maps the inside details of a lock using a scanning tool, it then sends information about the locks pattern to a computer via USB. A computer program interprets the pattern and comes up with a key code, depending on the details of the car you have entered before hand. Once you have the code a key cutting machine can use it to punch the key accordingly without having to wait for hours or days.

Photonic Fence: Laser system to kill mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are a problem which people all across the world have to deal with.
A staggering 250 million people around the world are affected by Malaria every year and 1 million people die due to it. Despite so many attempts to eradicate malaria all attempts have failed. Mosquitoes have troubled humans since human existence and have developed resistance from a lot of repellents we have used over years. The best way to stay away from mosquitoes have been the low tech simple nets. But in this high tech world that's not the way to solve such a problem. So now Intellectual Ventures Lab has come up with a great solution to the problem,

The Photonic fence is a laser system that detects mosquitoes and shoots them down from a distance. Its designed/made out of inexpensive components present in laser printers, camcorders, Blu-ray disc writers and video game consoles which makes it even more cool.
