Microsoft gives a sneak peek into the dubbed 'Windows 8' OS

The Next generation Windows Operating System from Microsoft code named Windows 8 was unveiled at the D9 Conference a day ago where Microsoft gave a glimpse into what the new OS has to offer for the first time. Microsoft says, "Windows 8 is a re-imagining of Windows, from the chip to the interface."
Unlike traditional Windows based PC a Windows 8 based PC will be a new kind of device, one that scales from touch-only small screens through to large screens, with or without a keyboard and mouse.

Microsoft is actually trying to develop an OS which will work on devices of various scales ranging from Desktop/Workstations, Laptops, Tablets and other personal communication devices. At first look, booting into a Windows 8 device will be completely different than a traditional OS. Its seems like the Icons have been replaced into a Tile based interface like you would see in smart phones. The UI (User interface) is a lot more Graphic and has a fluid flow nature to it. The OS seems to be more App based. It also seems to incorporate more web based feature with the addition of tapping into the power of HTML5 based applications. Windows 8 will also have Fully touch-optimized browsing, with  the power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10.

Overall its seems like a really new approach to personal computing, its difficult to make any real comment on it. Its in a preliminary stage right now. Here at Tech Center we will try to keep you posted with the latest developments.

Check this video out to get a glimpse of the real thing.
