In the midst of all the noise the new social networking site Google+ is creating on the blogosphere and the internet, popular internet blog TechCrunch just released a news about a new Facebook Video Chat feature that is said to be launched next week. The new video chat product is powered by Skype and works in the browser.
This is just an incoming news which has a lot more speculations than solid information. This news is said to been tipped off by Mark Zuckerberg to the Seattle press that the company would be launching an “awesome” new product next week that has been built by Facebook’s Seattle team.
We will have to to wait for the event to happen on July 6. No official info as to whats happening in the event is disclosed.
Well to sum it all up, it seems like Facebook has come up with this feature at this specific time to press down its sworn competitor Google, which has come up with its new social networking site Google Plus.
Facebook currently has a users base of roughly 750 million, while skype has a user base of 170 million. This move will not only help Skype become more popular but also add more juice to Facebook which has lost its shine in the past few month.

Remember, Skype has been acquired by Microsoft and Microsoft is already a great partner/shareholder for Facebook so it seems to be cooking up pretty well. Google needs to be a bit more firm in its dreams of replacing Facebook, It still seem to be far fetched for Google, only time will tell.
