Genius wireless Ring Mouse takes mouse design to a new level

At Tech Center we always try and find new and innovative gadgets especially when it comes to different types of computer peripherals and mouse designs.
'Genius' a Taiwan based PC peripherals manufacturer has come up with a really good ring type thumb controlled mouse design. They named it 'Ring Mouse'.

The mouse can do clicking and scrolling action and can act as a lightweight mouse replacement, its proprietary optical touch technology offers users 1000 dpi sensitivity and it's said to last a month between battery charges. The Mouse weighs in at 12grams and has really comfortable dimensions of  29.3 x 33.7 x 32 mm (W*H*D).

The Ring Mouse runs via 2.4GHz wireless connectivity with a range of around 30 feet (10 meters). It links to any Windows-based computer or laptop with the help of a USB nano/pico receiver. It can be Worn on the index finger. The left, right click and optical touch control tracking technology are set around the thumb to control the screen cursor quite easily. Its also got air cursor movement. The mouse charges its batteries via USB.

Although its design seems to suite well for presentations it can be used for almost every task you can do with a mouse. The most important thing about this mouse design is that it can be really effective/useful for people suffering from rheumatic pain. It reduces the stress in the wrist you would normally experience when you using a regular mouse for long durations.
To sum it all up the mouse retails for $69.99 you can pick yours at at Amazon
This mouse design has also bagged the “IF product design award 2011” in Taiwan in January 2011.
